Hi, have tried my best to do without my favourite brassica and stick to veg with low vitamin K. Now however, have been informed blood sugar is 43 which makes me pre-diabetic. It seems that the foods that I eat instead of those high in Vit K are not good for me if I want to get my blood sugar level down! Help!!! I seem to be be between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Ive heard it said numerous times “dose the diet not diet the dose”, so I eat what ever I like, take a daily 100mcg vitK1 supplement. The K1 supplement smooths out the days when K1 from other sources is low. I self test weekly and manage my own dosing changes myself so have a good handle on it. Apart from alcohol, over the counter pain meds and some antibiotics I have not seen any foods that I can directly pin any changes in my INR on, eat your vegetables,
its a bit like training a cat :-)
