I am 6-months post-op AVR. I am currently taking 7.5 daily Coumadin. I read that some of you are stabilized on much lower doses AND eating veggies.

I am a life-long veggie lover (as a small child I used to take carrots celery lettuce under the bed and pretend I was a rabbit), and now just about any veggie results in low INR reading. I even measure amounts.

I am curious how people have been able to stabilize and enjoy veggies. What is a typical amount of Coumadin.

I have a pet rabbit so I lol'd at this.

Carrots have very little vitamin k so snack away!

Same with corn, potatoes and mushrooms and a bunch of other vegetables. I link to their vitamin k levels below.
